What you will do

• Write and review engaging assessment items for 6–12 math curricula.
• Ensure mathematical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to educational standards.
• Develop achievement level descriptors and supporting assessment documentation.
• Collaborate with psychometricians, program managers, and curriculum designers on assessment scope.
• Coordinate with external writers, editors, and designers to deliver high-quality content.
• Analyze state educational standards to ensure alignment across all assessment projects.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• 2+ years of experience writing items for widely-used assessments.
• K–12 math teaching or tutoring experience.
• Excellent writing, analytical-reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation.

Nice to have

• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Knowledge of computer programming, mobile, and web technologies.
