Location: Hybrid (New York, NY or Warren, NJ)

Salary: $180,000 - $215,000

What you will do

  • Direct the Transactional and Private Equity claims portfolio, managing high-exposure matters and establishing reserving strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals to ensure technical excellence and performance.
  • Advise senior management and business partners on claims presenting significant financial, legal, or reputational exposure.
  • Oversee complex coverage analyses, liability assessments, and settlement negotiations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including outside counsel and forensic experts, while controlling legal budgets.
  • Partner with Underwriting to optimize risk selection and policy construction based on claims insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Private Equity and Transactional Liability (Reps & Warranties) claims.
  • Proven success managing complex, high-severity claims portfolios and leading professional teams.
  • Must be based in or able to work from New York, NY or Warren, NJ.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance coverage, litigation, arbitration, and claims governance standards.
  • J.D. and current bar admission strongly preferred.
  • Ability to promptly obtain and hold all required adjuster licenses.
