What you will do

• Build and lead a new regulatory legal function to shape strategy and engagement for global scaling.
• Advise on regulatory strategy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on AV, AI, and automotive sectors.
• Monitor, interpret, and communicate developments in laws, regulations, and government policy.
• Support engagement with regulators, government bodies, industry groups, and external stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering, policy, and operational teams to provide practical, commercially focused regulatory advice.
• Develop scalable processes, policies, and governance structures to support company growth.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 6–7+ years of post-qualification legal experience (E&W qualified preferred).
• Significant in-house legal experience within a highly regulated industry.
• Strong experience advising on regulatory matters in complex, consumer-facing, or technology-driven sectors.
• Excellent legal analysis, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be able to work from the London office under a hybrid policy.

Nice to have

• Regulatory experience within the automotive or mobility sector (e.g., OEM).
• Experience in industries undergoing rapid regulatory evolution like FinTech or telecommunications.
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle, AI, or product safety regulatory frameworks.
• Direct experience engaging with policymakers or industry bodies.
• Cross-border regulatory advisory experience across the UK, Europe, or the US.
