TL;DR

Compliance Consultant (General Insurance): Providing pragmatic compliance advice and regulatory support for business-as-usual activities and strategic projects with an accent on FCA requirements and fair value assessments. Focus on interpreting complex regulations, managing relationships with regulators, and ensuring customer-centric product governance.

Location: Hybrid (Eastleigh, UK). Must be based in the UK

Salary: c. £60,000

What you will do

  • Provide forward-thinking compliance advice to identify and manage regulatory risks across BAU and strategic projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on general insurance regulations, embedding legal requirements across the business.
  • Manage and maintain effective relationships with regulators, handling queries and reviews.
  • Challenge and support the completion of product governance and fair value assessments.
  • Review and approve financial promotions and customer communications for regulatory alignment.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on compliance risks and incidents to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a compliance role within General Insurance.
  • Strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape and FCA requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience managing relationships with regulators.
  • Ability to draft high-quality governance papers, reports, and MI for senior stakeholders.
  • Must be based in the UK to utilize flexible working options.

  • Understanding of Gibraltarian regulations.
