TL;DR

Compensation Manager (Total Rewards): Own job architecture, salary structures, and market pricing to scale compensation across engineering, sales, and corporate functions with an accent on enterprise-wide compensation planning, pay equity/analytics, and Workday Compensation optimization. Focus on building documentation and process playbooks, partnering with People Partners and Talent Acquisition on complex pay decisions, and ensuring pay transparency and regulatory readiness across global geographies.

What you will do

  • Design, maintain, and administer job architecture and salary structures that scale with headcount growth.
  • Run market pricing and compensation survey cycles, translating survey data into pay positioning recommendations.
  • Partner with People Partners and Talent Acquisition on job offer construction, internal equity, and complex compensation decisions.
  • Own compensation planning operations (merit, promotion, and equity refresh cycles) including tooling, manager communication, and analysis.
  • Support implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday Compensation, ensuring data integrity.
  • Administer equity program processes and expand compensation analytics and reporting (pay equity, market gap, budget utilization trends).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of compensation experience, including some experience leading others, with demonstrated ownership of job architecture, salary structures, and market pricing.
  • Hands-on experience with major compensation surveys (e.g., Radford) and comfort navigating compensation management systems.
  • Experience running an enterprise-wide compensation review cycle.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills and ability to build tools/analyses without relying on pre-packaged outputs.
  • Ability to communicate compensation concepts clearly to non-technical audiences (hiring managers, employees, executives).
  • Experience supporting globally distributed employee populations and global compensation frameworks (multi-country regulatory considerations and pay transparency requirements).

Nice to have

  • Experience at a high-growth SaaS or fintech company, ideally with exposure to pre- and post-IPO compensation environments.
  • Exposure to executive compensation benchmarking and proxy data sources.
  • CCP certification (or in progress).
  • Track record of building/improving compensation processes from scratch.
