What you will do

  • Manage and grow a team of engineers, focusing on coaching, hiring, and performance management.
  • Partner with Product Management to own the payments roadmap and translate strategic priorities into technical execution.
  • Oversee the development of payment rails, integrations, authorization layers, and reconciliation pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, compliance, and customer success teams to ensure system correctness and visibility.
  • Maintain operational excellence, including incident response, uptime, and latency management for high-volume financial systems.
  • Drive an AI-native development culture within the team.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the US
  • 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager leading teams of 5+ engineers.
  • Hands-on technical background in complex domains such as payments, billing, or money-movement systems.
  • Deep understanding of financial standards including ACH, card networks, settlement, chargebacks, NACHA, and PCI.
  • Proven track record of operational excellence, including managing uptime, error budgets, and incident response.
  • Experience holding teams accountable to high performance standards.

  • Experience leading teams working on integration-heavy platforms.
