What you will do

• Lead sprint execution and delivery commitments with full accountability for a single squad.
• Translate product requirements into clear, executable engineering work and manage the roadmap.
• Directly manage developers, overseeing hiring, performance, growth, and career development.
• Enforce engineering standards and code quality while remaining technically credible and contributing to code when needed.
• Remove blockers and manage dependencies with other squads, enterprise teams, and vendors.
• Balance technical debt with feature delivery to maintain startup velocity.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an Engineering Manager or team leadership role.
• Hands-on expertise with Java, React, Salesforce, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience leading a single squad end-to-end, including delivery, quality, and team health.
• Proven ability to run Agile execution rituals (planning, sprint/flow management, release coordination).
• Experience hiring, onboarding, and coaching engineers through performance conversations.
• Must be based in Toronto, Ontario to support the hybrid work model.
