What you will do

• Launch and scale Unified Commerce experiences and build POS integrations from the ground up for large-scale enterprises.
• Drive the roadmap and priorities for the team while managing dependencies across the organization.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing engineers to help them advance in their careers.
• Influence the design of core hirify.global APIs to integrate card-present payments.
• Empower the team to build scalable integrations across payment methods, gift cards, and POS connectors.
• Implement critical features such as surcharging and tipping for Enterprise and SaaS platform merchants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership across Mobile, API, and backend development teams.
• Proven track record of building diverse teams to solve challenging technical problems.
• Strong product mindset with an understanding of how to leverage AI to create customer and business value.
• Experience building and managing scalable, resilient, and observable systems across the stack.
• Ability to lead large technical projects with complex internal and external dependencies.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to set a vision that aligns multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience managing teams that build in-person checkout experiences or payment method integrations.
• Technical expertise with in-person payments hardware, card readers, or firmware.
• Deep domain knowledge of the global payments industry.
