What you will do

• Lead and support a team of 8 engineers building the AI-powered Operator platform.
• Drive technical execution involving LLMs, agentic workflows, vector search, and retrieval systems.
• Provide architecture guidance, perform code reviews, and contribute technically to solve complex problems.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap and execution strategy.
• Establish lightweight planning and delivery practices to maintain momentum.
• Coach and develop engineers across varying levels of experience.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineering teams in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven track record of shipping applied AI/ML product features.
• Deep familiarity with modern LLM tooling, retrieval systems, vector search, and agentic workflows.
• Experience working in highly iterative product environments with significant ambiguity.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong product and engineering judgment with a low-ego collaboration style.
