TL;DR

Market Pricing Manager (Insurance): Leading the market pricing team to plan and deliver pricing projects with an accent on machine learning and statistical modeling for insurance products. Focus on driving business growth through data-driven pricing strategies, optimizing conversion and retention, and coaching a team of analysts.

Location: Hybrid, must be based in the UK, with office attendance required once a month in Eastleigh or Bournemouth.

Salary: £60,000–£80,000

What you will do

  • Manage, develop, and coach a team of approximately 5 pricing analysts.
  • Oversee the maintenance and application of customer and market behavior models using machine learning.
  • Monitor trading positions to ensure company targets for conversion, retention, and profitability are met.
  • Compile and deliver pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders and trading forums.
  • Develop a balanced view of pricing performance by integrating MI, modeling results, and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the UK to comply with flexible working policies.
  • Extensive experience in insurance pricing or a related analytical background.
  • Detailed knowledge of price optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Emblem, Radar, or Databricks.
  • Proven ability to influence senior management and directors.
  • Degree level education in a numerical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
