Electrical & Software Project Manager

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; hybrid work option available with an onsite development center

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of software and controls development projects from initial concept through production launch and post-launch support.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and milestone tracking while identifying and addressing risks.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, management, and other departments to support production and company objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and support cross-functional project teams to deliver milestones on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years managing technical or engineering projects or programs.
• Understanding of product development, engineering change management, project scheduling, team supervision, budgeting, resource planning, and legal risk management.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, delegation, adaptability, and project risk management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, off-road, or transportation industries.
• Knowledge of Agile and V-model development processes.
• Experience overseeing software or controls development by external suppliers.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, or similar project management certification.
• Knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity regulations.
