What you will do

• Perform legal research and analysis on regulatory matters and compliance issues.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts using MS Word tools.
• Prepare legal correspondence including discovery, garnishments, and subpoenas.
• Assist the General Counsel in providing legal strategy and managing external law firm relationships.
• Ensure organizational policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage governance matters and maintain an inventory of legal updates for the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of legal-related experience in a financial institution, government agency, or law firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.

Nice to have

• Paralegal Certificate.
• Experience with probate matters.
