Legal Co-Op (Legal Studies)

TL;DR

Legal Co-Op (Legal Studies): Supporting the Corporate Legal Team by assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management related to employment law and product liability. Focus on conducting research on statutes and regulations, assisting with compliance policies, and providing general corporate governance support in an in-house environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to North Andover, MA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Salary: $22–$26 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct and organize research on statutes, regulations, and case precedents.
• Assist attorneys in managing product standards and related litigation.
• Help develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Support the training of employees on legal compliance and employment law.
• Assist with general corporate governance and subsidiary organizational matters.
• Collaborate with various departments including human resources and industrial engineering.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and research tools like Westlaw or Practical Law.
• Ability to work in North Andover, MA on a hybrid schedule.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
