What you will do
- Own one or more accounts and drive integrated medical/scientific communication strategies (publication planning and communications tactics).
- Serve as a principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and clinical leads, aligning scientific strategy to brand priorities.
- Oversee high-quality content across manuscripts, congress materials, training content, digital assets, and MLR-regulated materials; conduct detailed scientific reviews for accuracy and consistency.
- Lead/defend MLR submissions in relevant systems and resolve scientific issues independently.
- Manage 3–5 direct reports, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and structured capability development.
- Contribute to scoping and resource planning, escalate risks, maintain documentation/version control, and optimize scientific workflows for consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
- ~5+ years of medical communications/medical writing experience, including multi-asset or multi-account leadership and scientific team oversight.
- ~1+ years of people management and coaching experience.
- Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field preferred (e.g., MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD); relevant bachelor’s or master’s plus extensive experience may be considered.
- Strong scientific writing and editing skills with mastery of publication standards when applicable.
- Strong understanding of clinical research and regulatory landscape, including comfort guiding MLR submissions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms; strong organization and time management.
