Project Manager R&D (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid, Northfield, Illinois, United States; travel up to 10% of the time for domestic and international business purposes.

Salary: $92,000–$138,000 annual; bonus and/or incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Guide the development of medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and/or OTC/ANDA/NDA drugs.
• Manage product development projects, including priorities, scope, budgets, timelines, objectives, deliverables, and project plans.
• Lead collaborative, multifunctional teams across R&D, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and product divisions.
• Use an iterative agile project management framework and independently oversee a portfolio of projects.
• Assess risks related to delays, cost overruns, scope creep, and changing requirements, then develop contingency plans.
• Prepare technical justifications and data summaries, lead process improvements, and represent hirify.global on ASTM/AAM/ISO technical committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical-related field.
• Project management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Class I–II medical device requirements, design controls, risk assessments, and the 510(k) process.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for domestic and international business purposes.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience developing and launching new medical or pharmaceutical products.
