Director Business Development (Learning and Development): Strategically positioning and selling learning and development solutions to pharmaceutical budget holders within Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and R&D. What you will do
- Set up meetings with key decision-makers to identify, qualify, consult, and close opportunities.
- Proactively target and expand new and existing accounts by creating and updating Strategic Account Development Plans.
- Consult and collaborate with internal service delivery teams to craft appropriate solutions for unique business requirements.
- Write proposals, develop presentations, and draft SOWs as part of the sales process.
- Manage and track pipeline and opportunities via ’ opportunity management process.
- Provide direction and input towards targeted Marketing initiatives, including attendance at key industry conferences.
Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience with consistently achieving quotas in the range of $2M+.
- 7-10 years of proven experience selling Learning and Development services and/or Medical Communication Services and products to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to break into new accounts and grow client relationships across functional areas and levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience using SalesForce as a CRM tool for pipeline and opportunity tracking.
