TL;DR

People Partner (AI): Establishing and managing the people agenda for the North American team with an accent on leadership coaching, organizational design, and US employment compliance. Focus on scaling the regional team, bridging communication with the European HQ, and balancing strategic partnering with hands-on people operations.

Location: Must be based in the US (San Francisco preferred). Hybrid setup: office attendance 2 days a week or one full week every other week, or remote with a monthly in-person week.

Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Serve as the primary People Partner for NA leaders and employees, supporting performance and team effectiveness.
• Coach and develop managers to build leadership capability as the team scales beyond 40 people.
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and headcount decisions to inform global people strategy.
• Lead US employee relations and ensure compliance across all states where the company operates.
• Manage core People Ops processes, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and HRIS hygiene.
• Act as the regional voice in global People team conversations, adapting global standards for the US context.

Requirements

• 6+ years of People/HR experience, with significant time in a Business Partnering role.
• Deep tech experience is essential (AI, infrastructure, developer tooling, or fintech).
• Solid command of US employment law.
• Experience working with or alongside a European-headquartered company.
• Ability to operate comfortably across both strategic partnering and hands-on People Ops.
• Strong coaching instincts and credibility to influence VP-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience as the first or only People Partner in a specific region.
• Background in early-stage or rapidly scaling environments.
• Experience building and improving people processes from scratch.
