What you will do

• Advise on competition and regulatory policy development, behavioural compliance, investigations, and merger activity.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including Ofcom and competition authorities.
• Develop training materials and best practice documents on competition law and regulation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide commercially focused legal advice to support decision-making.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and line management for junior lawyers.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE.
• Expertise in competition law with broader knowledge of commercial, corporate governance, and litigation.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance for business stakeholders.
• Experience influencing senior leadership, including the CEO level.
• Must be based in London to meet the 3-day onsite requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience advising in telecoms or other regulated sectors (pay TV, mobile regulation, broadcasting).
• Previous in-house legal experience within a complex business structure.
• Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing direct reports.
