Us Public Sector Attorney (Saas)

US Public Sector Attorney (SaaS): Leading the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex public sector agreements, including SaaS, Professional Services Agreements (PSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), partner agreements, and subcontracting arrangements with an accent on government procurement and SaaS contracting and compliance. Focus on providing legal and strategic guidance on government sales lifecycle matters, including RFP/RFI review, risk identification, compliant proposal submissions, bid protests, claims, disputes, audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.

Location: Hybrid, McLean, VA, must be based in the US.

What you will do

• Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex public sector agreements.
• Advise on U.S. government procurement laws and regulations and adjacent legal areas.
• Provide legal and strategic guidance on government sales lifecycle matters.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, product, engineering, finance, and compliance teams to structure and close deals.
• Help develop and scale hirify.global’s U.S. Public Sector legal strategy.
• Drive efficiency by creating and maintaining templates, playbooks, and training materials.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in U.S. public sector transactions.
• Deep expertise in government procurement frameworks and contracting vehicles.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related regulatory regimes.
• Familiarity with export controls, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory compliance in government contracting.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (or eligibility to practice in-house).
• Active Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
