TL;DR

Head Of Legal (SaaS): Building a global legal function from the ground up with an accent on contract administration, strategic risk management, and high-stakes negotiation. Focus on automating legal operations, scaling the commercial engine, and managing international entity governance.

Location: Must be based in the US Eastern Time Zone (EST); hybrid option available in New York, NY.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000

What you will do

  • Lead contract negotiations and act as the primary legal partner for Sales and Client Relationship teams.
  • Develop and automate a technology-enhanced contract administration framework using HubSpot.
  • Manage global expansion into new markets and adapt T&Cs to local data standards.
  • Oversee intercompany governance and data transfers across UK, US, CAN, and AU entities.
  • Handle corporate secretarial tasks, insurance renewals, and financial escalations for debt recovery.
  • Provide guidance on supplier negotiations and employment law to the People team.

Requirements

  • JD and active U.S. state bar membership.
  • 3–5 years PQE with a track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial technology agreements.
  • Must be based in the US Eastern Time Zone (EST).
  • Experience with HubSpot, Google Workspace, and AI-assisted legal tools.
  • Ability to navigate differences between UK GDPR, US State laws, and Canadian privacy requirements.
