What you will do

• Develop supplier capabilities through technical assessments and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
• Lead supplier qualification to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of critical components.
• Facilitate technical communication between suppliers and internal GSM, design, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive DFM reviews and assembly stack-up tolerance analysis to meet design requirements.
• Evaluate alternative materials to improve design, manufacturability, or reduce costs.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through process and yield optimizations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in supplier development and/or supplier quality.
• Ability to travel 75%+ across China and occasionally internationally on short notice.
• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (or equivalent).
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical, electrical (including PCB and PCBA), or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with drawing reviews, tolerance stack-ups, metrology, SPC, DOE, and sampling plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with power semiconductors, injection molding, stamping, or sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with ERP and PLM tools for BOM control and change management.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau, JMP, or Minitab.
