What you will do
- Lead substation design for FACTS projects across distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes.
- Define project requirements and review physical, P&C, and power system design deliverables using IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, and NERC standards.
- Perform research on non-standard design aspects and technical white papers to solve unique engineering problems.
- Coordinate technical information and lead discussions between project stakeholders, owners, and OEM resources.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements for complex high-voltage substation projects.
- Mentor lower-level engineering staff and oversee the quality of production team deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in electrical engineering.
- High voltage (HV) substation design experience in Physical and/or Protection & Controls (P&C).
- Experience acting as a project lead or technical specialist for utility substation clients.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience performing QA/QC reviews for engineering deliverables.
