What you will do

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in autonomous electric tow tractors, including brake systems and drivetrain components.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on CAN bus systems, vehicle wiring harnesses, and embedded computing hardware.
• Fabricate replacement components, such as mounting brackets and custom wiring harnesses.
• Coordinate and execute Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and maintain detailed repair logs.
• Troubleshoot perception hardware including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and wheel encoders.
• Partner with software and autonomy engineers to support tractor bring-up and sensor calibration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in hardware field engineering, electromechanical systems, or robotics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical systems (wiring, power systems, connectors).
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, vehicle schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Expertise with standard hand/power tools, crimping, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong written communication skills and experience with ticketing systems.
• Must be based in or able to work in Atlanta on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, or airport ground support equipment.
• Familiarity with CAN bus diagnostics and vehicle controller systems.
• Experience with 3D printing or rapid prototyping for hardware enclosures.
