What you will do

• Drive global strategies to address evolving privacy, data governance, and AI regulatory requirements.
• Advise on privacy-by-design and data protection-by-design principles across all products and services.
• Lead the drafting and maintenance of privacy notices, policies, disclosures, and internal governance documentation.
• Serve as the designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) for applicable EU and UK entities.
• Manage regulatory inquiries, investigations, audits, and enforcement matters globally.
• Oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and records of processing activities (ROPAs).

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer in Germany, another EU jurisdiction, the UK, or the United States.
• 8+ years of legal experience, including experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Deep expertise in GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA, and other major global privacy frameworks.
• Proven experience handling regulatory investigations and acting as a DPO or deputy DPO.
• Strong understanding of AI, biometrics, and digital identity regulation.

Nice to have

• In-house experience at a multinational technology company.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency-related legal issues.
• Relevant privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
