Manager, Engineering – MacOS Sensor (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Engineering Manager (MacOS/Cybersecurity): Leading the Mac Sensor engineering team to develop on-box prevention and telemetry capabilities for the Falcon Host cloud with an accent on low-level macOS internals and system performance. Focus on managing a distributed team, delivering the product roadmap, and designing resilient security architectures.

Location: Hybrid (Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA) — requires 2-3 days per week on-site

Salary: $140,000 – $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the Mac Sensor engineering team using a collaborative and open management style.
• Define and deliver the product roadmap for endpoint security features.
• Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and performance monitoring for direct reports.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and staffing strategies to encourage team growth and cross-training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups on Mac sensor architecture, releases, and development best practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA.
• 3+ years of experience managing and scaling product engineering teams.
• 5+ years of prior experience in software development.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience developing system software on macOS using C++ and Swift.
• Deep knowledge of low-level macOS internals and experience debugging memory corruptions and system performance.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and resilient architectures.

Nice to have

• Background in scalable, lightweight, and highly performant systems.
• Experience building software with shared cross-platform code (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Prior experience in the Cybersecurity domain.
• Familiarity with Agile processes.
