Audit Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, California; pay range also provided for Walnut Creek, California. Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Salary: $117,000–$174,700 in San Francisco, CA; $112,500–$168,000 in Walnut Creek, CA.

What you will do

• Provide audit, assurance, and consulting services to financial services clients and advise on financial statements, profitability, and business operations.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Design and implement testing of internal controls, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Manage audit fieldwork, engagement staffing, billings, collections, quality, timely delivery, and client profitability.
• Review and analyze audit information, provide financial statement guidance, and deliver business recommendations.
• Build client and community relationships while mentoring team members and supporting their professional development.

Requirements

• Four-year degree.
• CPA certification.
• At least five years of experience.
• Management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, maintain ethical knowledge and commitment, stay current through continuous learning, understand both strategic context and detail, and complete projects with urgency and quality.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced degree in accounting.
• Five or more years of financial statement auditing experience within a public accounting firm.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
• Financial services experience, preferably in mortgage banking or financial institutions/banking.
