Director, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting (Healthcare)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in the NYC office. Occasional travel may be required for team or company events and meetings.

Target base salary: $153,750–$207,460 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements under GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
• Manage consolidation of financial results across business units with Accounting leadership.
• Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards and regulations.
• Provide technical accounting guidance for mergers and acquisitions, new products, revenue recognition, equity compensation, and other complex transactions.
• Review new contract terms with Sales and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Develop reporting policies, procedures, and best practices while owning regulatory reporting compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 7–10 years of experience, including 3–5 years in financial reporting and technical accounting at a public company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements.
• Extensive experience researching and applying accounting standards to complex transactions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with attention to detail.
