Assurance Senior Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid role in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, or Rancho Cordova, California; eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Salary: $137,700–$234,200 in San Francisco; $132,400–$225,200 in Walnut Creek; $121,800–$207,200 in Rancho Cordova.

What you will do

• Deliver assurance and consulting services to financial services clients and provide guidance on financial statements, profitability, and business operations.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Develop and implement internal-control testing, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Manage fieldwork, engagement staffing, billing and collections, quality, timely delivery, and client profitability.
• Build internal and external relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
• Mentor and develop team members while participating in firm-wide learning and development programs.

Requirements

• Four-year degree, CPA certification, and at least eight years of experience.
• Management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, maintain current knowledge of applicable strategies, understand both the big picture and details, demonstrate ethical commitment, and complete projects with urgency and quality.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced degree in accounting.
• Eight or more years of financial statement auditing experience within a public accounting firm.
• Financial services industry experience, particularly with financial institutions in capital markets or public companies.
• Five or more years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
