Location: Remote - USA (Candidates near offices have a hybrid option; must be eligible to work in the USA; occasional travel 4-6 times per year required)

Salary: $40,000 – $75,000

What you will do

  • Research and clear copyright permissions for AP Assessments, making determinations on fair use and public domain.
  • Manage the full cycle of permission requests, including rightsholder correspondence, contract signatures, and payment.
  • Partner with course teams and product managers to maintain accurate copyright tracking and credit lines.
  • Handle copyright violation reports and manage the removal of unauthorized online content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and iterate on permissions management practices and tools.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • 4+ years of experience in copyright permissions and/or licensing.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Deep understanding of copyright law, including public domain and fair use processes.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and MS Excel.
  • Ability to travel 4-6 times a year to company offices for business purposes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with item bank management.
  • Interest in adopting and experimenting with AI-driven solutions for productivity.
