What you will do

• Conduct regular individual and group alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions.
• Develop, implement, and revise formal patient treatment plans according to state regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive, well-organized patient records and document all clinical contacts.
• Perform intake and readmission services, including supportive follow-up for new patients.
• Coordinate care with community providers and manage necessary case-management referrals.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services for patients.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid license as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
• Must be able to work on-site in Virginia Beach, VA.
• Master's degree in a related field (required for expanded job duties).
• Strong knowledge of substance abuse populations and treatment planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with sound judgment.
