What you will do

• Act as an embedded legal advisor to Product and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Shape and implement the AI governance framework, including risk evaluation standards and documentation practices.
• Interpret global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and translate them into actionable product guidance.
• Advise on public sector regulatory regimes, including data protection obligations and retention requirements.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and AI risk analyses for new features and model deployments.
• Negotiate AI, privacy, and cybersecurity provisions in customer and vendor agreements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant product counseling in high-growth SaaS companies.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and international privacy frameworks (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
• Experience advising on AI governance, model risk assessment, and emerging AI regulations.
• Proven experience embedding directly with Product and Engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of intellectual property, licensing, and data rights.
• Familiarity with regulatory regimes specifically impacting public sector customers.
