TL;DR

Commercial Legal (AI): Managing the full range of commercial agreements, including enterprise customer contracts and infrastructure partnerships, with an accent on AI regulation, data protection, and scaling legal infrastructure. Focus on leading end-to-end deal cycles, building commercial playbooks, and navigating complex technology transactions for a generative media ecosystem.

Location: San Francisco; Onsite five days a week

Salary: $225,000 – $275,000 base salary + meaningful equity

hirify.global is a generative media ecosystem providing the infrastructure, tools, and model access that teams need to move AI products from idea to production at scale.

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a full range of commercial agreements, including SaaS and API licensing, data center arrangements, and infrastructure partnerships.
  • Own enterprise deal cycles end-to-end and partner with the GTM team to close revenue while managing legal risk.
  • Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, and AI-powered contract management solutions.
  • Monitor AI regulation, data protection, and export controls to translate them into practical guidance and contract positions.
  • Manage outside commercial counsel and legal service providers, overseeing budgets and performance tracking.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar (California or New York preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally combining a top-tier law firm foundation with in-house experience at a technology, cloud, SaaS, or AI company.
  • Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology transactions on both buy-side and sell-side.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise software licensing, IP, data protection, and security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Substantive experience advising on GDPR, CCPA, and U.S. state privacy laws.

Nice to have

  • CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification.
  • Experience with GPU capacity, data center, or hyperscaler agreements.
  • Experience with debt financing, revenue-based financing, or hardware supply chain transactions.
  • Product counseling experience on AI-specific legal issues, such as model training data and outputs.
  • Hands-on experience deploying modern legal tech, CLM platforms, and AI-assisted contracting tools.
