TL;DR

Publishing Licensing Coordinator (Academic Publishing): Manage and grow a portfolio of global licensing partnerships for scholarly journals and books with an accent on achieving sales targets, negotiating agreements, and analyzing data. Focus on building partner relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and researching trends to drive revenue growth.

Location: Hybrid in Milton Park, Oxfordshire (minimum 3 days per week in office); must live within commutable distance of the office. Office relocating to Oxford city centre in late 2027/early 2028. Willingness to travel to events and conferences as required.

What you will do

  • Achieve and exceed annual licensing sales targets while supporting team revenue goals.
  • Negotiate new and renewal partnership agreements and serve as primary contact for assigned partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global partners and analyze portfolio for licensing opportunities.
  • Collect reports, generate invoices, and identify upsell opportunities from partner data.
  • Research prospects, marketing trends, and new revenue streams, sharing insights with the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance market coverage and meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a commercial sales environment.
  • Confident with computer systems, including Excel.
  • Knowledge of scholarly/academic publishing, intellectual property, and copyright.
  • Strong customer relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to events, conferences, and book fairs as required.
