Battery Electrical Engineer (Defense)

What you will do

• Design and integrate electrical systems for high-voltage battery packs for military platforms.
• Conduct technical trade-off studies to optimize electrical architecture, components, and interfaces.
• Integrate sub-systems including cells, modules, BMS, contactors, and harnessing.
• Support prototype builds and perform issue identification and resolution during construction.
• Develop controls architecture strategies, perform battery pack calibration, and analyze data for validation.
• Manage component requirements, timing plans, and interface control documents (ICDm and ICDe).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in battery or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience in the design, validation, and release of automotive electrical/electronic components.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• No immigration sponsorship provided for this role.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with HV battery prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of high-voltage battery failure modes and design mitigation strategies.
• Experience with HV/LV distribution, grounding, bonding, and communication networks.
• Familiarity with tools such as Vehicle Spy, INCA, dSPACE, or GMSIM.
• Experience with xIL environments (SIL, HIL, MIL, DIL).
