What you will do
- Own top-level battery systems design, including structural racks/packs and interfaces for cooling, communications, and high voltage.
- Resolve design issues and optimize using simulation tools for structural and thermal evaluations.
- Assist in hardware procurement, builds, and process improvements.
- Develop application/integration guides and disassembly procedures for customers and dealers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers on selection, assessments, and APQP processes.
- Contribute to Design FMEAs, risk assessments, and IP protection; guide colleagues to meet requirements and schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Analytical thinking for root cause analysis and solutions.
- Effective communications and managing multiple priorities.
- Technical excellence in product design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools for design, simulation, and testing.
Nice to have
- 3-5 years experience in battery pack/rack or electrical integration design.
- Proficiency with Creo and Teamcenter.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and communicate technical info effectively.
