Technical Sales Engineer/Lead (Cybersecurity): Lead technical demonstrations, architecture, and deployments of secure collaboration platform for defense and national security customers with an accent on on-premise, air-gapped, and private cloud environments. Location: Tokyo, Japan. Ability to travel up to 50% for partner events, tradeshows, and customer sites.

What you will do
- Lead regional technical activities including pre-sales architecture, product demos, and deep-dive evaluations.
- Architect and deploy solutions in complex on-premise, air-gapped, and private cloud environments for defense customers.
- Collaborate with system integrators, VARs, and distributors to build technical network and go-to-market plans.
- Translate technical details into value propositions for C-suite executives to operational personnel.
- Act as bridge between Japanese customers and global product/engineering teams for local requirements.
- Support post-sales technical engagements for key accounts to achieve mission outcomes.
Requirements
- 10+ years technical experience in cybersecurity sector or high-growth SaaS/technology companies
- Proven experience serving defense, national security, or critical infrastructure customers
- Strong knowledge of closed cloud, on-premise deployments, and secure sector concepts
- Entrepreneurial mindset as independent problem-solver in global startups preferred
- Native Japanese language skills and strong English proficiency (reading/writing)
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent
