What you will do

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, infrastructure, mobile)
• Own delivery, quality, technical outcomes, and strategic initiatives
• Partner with Product, Trading, and Senior Engineering leadership to execute business requirements
• Drive engineering processes including planning, CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and releases
• Guide architecture for hybrid infrastructure and ensure high availability, performance, observability
• Hire, onboard, mentor engineers; conduct 1:1s and performance reviews; foster ownership culture

Requirements

• 7+ years professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years in Engineering Manager role
• Background in financial systems, trading platforms, or high-reliability domains
• Strong understanding of backend systems
• Experience with cloud systems (EC2, networking, security, monitoring)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, deployment strategies
• Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, logging, alerting) and performance monitoring

Nice to have

• Experience with on-premise and hybrid infrastructure
• Hands-on Ruby experience
• Low-latency or high-throughput systems
