Engineering Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end system architecture of the DERICON platform, including microservices, data flows, and failure modes.
• Ensure regulatory readiness, translating BAIT/DORA/BaFin expectations into technical controls and audit support.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary technology teams with clear direction and technical guidance.
• Hire and onboard key engineers, shape role profiles, and manage knowledge transfer.
• Own production operations, incident management, monitoring, on-call, and reliability improvements on AWS and CI/CD.
• Manage releases, changes, and rollout strategies in a regulated environment.
• Provide decision proposals to stakeholders and lead technical escalations with leadership and auditors.
• Steer complex multiphase projects balancing risk, compliance, cost, and timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and owning end-to-end system architectures in complex microservice environments.
• Experience running systems in production: incident leadership, reliability improvements, operational ownership.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, security, service provisioning, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.
• Led multidisciplinary engineering teams with technical leadership, coaching, and roadmap alignment.
• Experience in regulated environments with frameworks like BaFin, BAIT, or DORA.
• Communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and auditors.
