Electrical Safety Specialist

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise and oversight on electrical safety at DOE facilities.
• Apply industry and DOE standards to evaluate electrical systems, work practices, and procedures.
• Review and assess compliance with electrical codes, standards, and procedures.
• Support site electrical safety programs, evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Interface with DOE and contractor personnel to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
• Training in industry electrical standards and DOE electrical safety standards.
• Minimum 15 years experience in electrical work including low- and high-voltage systems.
• Demonstrated experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NESC, ASTM, ANSI, and related standards.
• Minimum 10 years supporting Oak Ridge site operations.
• DOE Q clearance and US citizenship required.
