Induction Machinist

TL;DR

Induction Machinist (Aerospace): Perform essential machining, deburring, and sub-assembly tasks for new build and aftermarket aerospace and industrial programs with an accent on CNC Mazak Quick Turn operations, manual machining, and quality standards. Focus on setting and operating machinery, conducting specialized testing like brazing and pressure tests, and applying lean manufacturing principles.

Location: Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR. Shift Pattern: 2-Week Rotating AM/PM.

What you will do

• Set and operate Mazak Quick Turn and other machinery like mills, lathes, and grinders to manufacture components.
• Perform brazing, welding, fatigue and pressure testing, and other specialized tasks.
• Maintain clean work environment and complete quality audits from engineering drawings and inspection plans.
• Collaborate with team to adopt lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Completion of apprenticeship in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in aerospace or similar environment.
• Strong educational background in mathematics, English, and science.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with positive attitude towards lean tools.
• Flexibility to work in various areas, adapt to tasks, overtime, and shift changes.
