Project Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead assigned projects from design and qualification through to production and delivery.
• Act as the primary technical interface between cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Plan and lead supplier technical reviews (PDR, CDR) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop technical documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW) and Source Control Documents (SCD).
• Track project progress against metrics including schedule, cost, and risk.
• Support the transition to production while maintaining aerospace quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) and configuration control.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100).
• Experience working with global teams and suppliers across multiple time zones.
• Must be based in or be able to work onsite at the Tewkesbury or Wolverhampton sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment or hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM (Teamcenter) and ERP (SAP) tools.
• Proficiency with Power BI and Office 365.
