What you will do

• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of mechanical equipment to high standards.
• Perform routine inspections to identify and prevent potential equipment failures.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of new production equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with the skilled maintenance team to meet department goals and objectives.
• Implement company safety policies, including hazard identification and risk assessment.

Requirements

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Completed recognized apprenticeship in mechanical craft engineering.
• 4-5 years of experience post-apprenticeship in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and working with high-speed rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Flexibility to work on-call and a weekend rota (one weekend out of five).
