What you will do

• Lead end-to-end execution of test equipment projects, from requirements definition and design to build and acceptance.
• Develop system-level architectures for the validation of aircraft components such as servovalves, actuators, and flight controls.
• Oversee the design of data acquisition (DAQ), PLC control systems, mechanical fixtures, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Manage procurement of full test equipment solutions and sub-assemblies, coordinating with external suppliers from RFQ to acceptance.
• Lead system verification and validation activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in test system reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8–15+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering projects for test systems or capital equipment.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, DAQ, and control systems (PLC, LabVIEW, MATLAB).
• Proven ability to manage project costs, schedules, and technical performance simultaneously.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model based in Tewkesbury, GBR.

Nice to have

• Experience with ATP, qualification testing, environmental, or avionics test.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100, DO-160, MIL-STD, or FAA certification.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Earned Value Management (EVM).
