What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end execution of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and private cloud deployments using VMware and Nutanix.
• Design, architect, and implement virtual infrastructure (VI) environments and manage the associated physical hardware.
• Monitor availability and performance of enterprise VI systems and maintain VM backups.
• Provide 24/7 Level 3 support for virtual infrastructure issues on a rotating basis.
• Produce architectural documentation and harden all infrastructure according to agency standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to design and implement enterprise solutions in virtual environments.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience working with VMware and understanding of the P2V process.
• Deep knowledge of VMware VCF, ESXi, Nutanix, and storage technologies (vSAN/SDS).
• Experience with Hyperconverged systems such as Dell EMC VXRail and/or PowerFlex.
• Expert experience with Linux/Windows operating systems and Cisco networking.
• Experience with STIG compliance, secure virtual environments, and capacity planning.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of or experience with Red Hat Virtualization.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Ansible automation.
• Hardware networking experience with Dell, HP, or Cisco.
