Systems Engineer II (Infrastructure/Cybersecurity): Building and operating infrastructure for software delivery and high-performance hardware appliances with an accent on server maintenance, network interconnects, and virtualization. Focus on ensuring 24x7 availability of critical services, managing code repositories, and optimizing hybrid infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments.
Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Seattle, WA; requires on-premise work 4 days per week). Must be able to regularly travel to the datacenter in Kent, WA.
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 + bonus

What you will do
- Install, maintain, and manage hardware and networking infrastructure for the software engineering team.
- Research and validate future hardware product decisions.
- Collaborate with software, quality, and release engineers to ensure consistent software build and deployment.
- Manage engineering code repositories, including branching, backup, and access control.
- Ensure 24x7 availability and responsiveness of networking infrastructure, cloud environments, and security tools.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Linux operating systems and enterprise server hardware.
- 1+ years of experience with enterprise network interconnects.
- Proficiency with virtualization infrastructures (e.g., VMware, KVM) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, LDAP, TLS/SSL).
- Direct experience with Git version control systems and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
- Must be based in Seattle, WA, with ability to work on-site 4 days a week and travel to Kent, WA.
Nice to have
- 1+ years of experience in a datacenter or colocation facility.
- Relevant certifications such as A+, Security+, or CCNA.
- Scripting skills in Python and Bash on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD build pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2/EKS), Azure, or GCE/GKE.
