Director of Sales (SaaS/AI): Lead sales team to achieve and exceed ambitious ARR targets for an AI platform accelerating mechanical engineering product development with an accent on consultative and challenger selling strategies for enterprise land-and-expand motions. Focus on recruiting top talent, inspecting sales processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to scale revenue and efficiency.
Location: Toronto, ON with occasional travel to Newfoundland, Canada (at least twice per year, mandatory for most events)

What you will do
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent through coaching, career development, and performance management.
- Hands-on deal closing: evangelize product to prospects and support team in enterprise negotiations.
- Expand revenue in existing customers via upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Inspect sales processes and pipeline rigorously, driving daily improvements.
- Report performance, pipeline, and forecasts to senior leadership regularly.
- Experiment with sales strategies to boost ARR and efficiency; monitor market and competitors.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams for maximum impact.
Requirements
- SaaS/cloud sales experience selling to highly technical buyers.
- Experience leading sales in undefined product categories requiring buyer education against status quo objections.
- 7+ years in sales leadership with team quotas of $5M+ New ARR.
- Proven track record recruiting and scaling sales teams (AEs and AMs).
- Proven closing of annual contracts including $100k+/year deals across segments.
- Remote work experience considered an asset.
