What you will do

• Lead and scale an R&D organization of 100+ engineers across Belgium, Germany, and other European hubs.
• Foster a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and a bias for action within the engineering team.
• Evolve R&D into scalable engineering groups tailored for complex, research-heavy product delivery.
• Manage hiring, talent development, and the efficient integration of acquisitions.
• Advance a cohesive platform vision covering protection, testing, threat telemetry, and attestation.
• Partner with the CTO to translate business strategy into technical execution and operational processes.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing software engineering organizations in fast-growth environments.
• Experience managing R&D contexts where project outcomes evolve through discovery.
• Pragmatic approach to outcome-driven delivery within Agile environments.
• Strong technical credibility to guide the adoption of modern tooling, including AI-based tools.
• Must be able to work from the Leuven (BE) office to act as an on-site leader.
