What you will do

• Lead technical development with 50% hands-on coding in Node.js and 50% team leadership.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices in development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences and align on goals.
• Drive technical planning, Agile methodologies, innovation through prototyping, and risk mitigation.
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous learning.
• Represent team in cross-functional discussions and resolve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Spain, Belgium, Cyprus, EMEA, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, or UK
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: OOP principles, designing scalable systems, clean testable code.
• Strong SQL skills: complex queries, data structures, query performance.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, debugging integrations, data flows.
• Strong problem-solving: root cause analysis across code, data, systems.
• Production environment experience: handling incidents, debugging, escalations.

Nice to have

• Cross-browser and cross-platform development experience.
• Node.js and JavaScript knowledge.
• Open-source contributions or technical community involvement.
• Expertise in additional tech stacks.
