Maintenance Manager (Aviation)

TL;DR

Maintenance Manager (Aviation/Defence): Overall management and coordination of maintenance resources, personnel training, supply support, and operational requirements for training devices across sites with an accent on efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer training success. Focus on leading simulator technicians, delivering services within time, cost and quality constraints, and ensuring certifications.

Onsite 5 days a week at RAAF Base Edinburgh. Must be an Australian Citizen able to obtain/maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Drive and improve maintenance efficiency across all sites.
• Ensure contracted obligations for customer training success are met.
• Manage staffing, training, and professional development of simulator technicians.
• Lead by example, promoting leadership to team, stakeholders, and employees.
• Deploy and improve processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide inputs to budget and forecasting while executing Quality and EHS Management Systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a team.
• Experience in technician or maintenance-related role.
• Ideally experience in aviation and/or defence industries.
• Australian Citizen able to obtain/maintain Defence Security Clearance.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with simulation devices/technology.
• Ability to support other sites if required.
