What you will do

• Underwrite and broker business for insurance companies and partners under guidelines.
• Evaluate, classify, and rate risks to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing.
• Implement underwriting policies and ensure compliance.
• Monitor loss ratio, costs, retention, and new business metrics, taking corrective actions.
• Participate in advertising, telemarketing, and sales calls to customers.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of underwriting experience, excess & surplus MGA/Wholesale in a production role
• Strong sales and marketing skills, business acumen.
• Strong computer skills for multi-faceted systems.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Insurance license, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred.
